53rd Annual Parade Of Homes – Oct. 1 & 2, 8 & 9 – Noon-5pm
It’s that time of year again. Sponsored by the Blue Ridge Home Builders Association (BRHBA), the now 53rd Annual Parade of Homes is a chance to see what’s new in the world of building, and it’s a free event.
This year’s Parade features 42 homes from 18 builders, up from last year’s numbers of 12 builders and 32 homes, and features homes ranging from $252K in Gordonsville to $2M in Bundoran Farm in North Garden. It welcomes back some previous participants along with some who are exhibiting for the very first time.
You’ll have a chance to see homes in Burnet Commons, Cascadia, Westlake at Foothills Crossing, Glenmore, Belvedere, Old Trail, The Towns at Stonefield, Out of Bounds, Forest Lakes, Spring Creek, Ashcroft, Chesterfield Landing and Stonewater, to name a few.
Eighteen builders – ranging from Arcadia, Atlantic Builders, Bramante Homes, Craig Builders, Christopher Companies, Dobson Homes, Echelon Homes, Evergreen Home Builders and Gibson Homes, to Natural Retreats, Peak Builders, R. L. Beyer Custom Homes, Ryan Homes, Saga Homes, Southern Development Homes, Stanley Martin, Stonehaus and Stony Point Design/Build, LLC, are showcasing 42 homes, in addition to three communities and one design center.
Some of the new features are town homes with rooftop terraces, one-level living, and a variety of options, in a wide variety if price ranges, either close to Downtown, a mixed-use community or near a golf course.
Opening Gala – Thursday, Sept. 29
The annual Parade of Homes is a cooperative effort between builders and suppliers who support the activities of the BRHBA.
Once again this year’s Presenting Sponsor is Roy Wheeler Realty, Co., and the presenting Sponsor for the gala kick off event at King Family Vineyards, which will take place this Thursday, Sept. 29, from 6-9 pm, at the Carriage House on the winery grounds, is Specialized Insurance.

Two Weekends of New Homes
Those who attend the Parade will have a chance to view a wide range of home styles, prices and locations. All the best in everything from innovative technologies and energy savings (including a net zero home), to examples of what is new in the way of floor plans, color schemes and amenities will be on display.
Every year the Parade draws buyers looking for new homes, owners looking for creative ways to renovate existing homes and consumers who are just curious about what’s new in their neighborhood or who want a fun way to spend an afternoon.
Be sure to bring all of your questions about design, energy savings, and new home trends. The site agents and builders will be available to greet you and provide whatever answers you need.
