When someone joins Active Rain there can be many reasons….
To gain knowledge– I personally have found AR to be a fabulous resource of information. I have taken surveys’ of agents across the country and used the information at our MLS and Tech meetings. What a great resource!
To make new friends – We could go on and on with this one. I have more friends across the country after 2 years on active rain than a person can normally gain in a lifetime!
To grow your business– this is the root of blogging for most agents. We all want to grow our business and this is a great place to do just that. We have groups that are dedicated to just that and the google juice is nice too 🙂
To stay in business – Finally there are the agents that join Active Rain as a “last” effort to stay in business. I often see people disappear from Active Rain and wonder why…
Recently I noticed a local member, who was a very active blogger slowly go away…
I noticed that this persons posts were few and far between and then none at all…
Then I saw this agents profile in Active Rain was no longer active….
Today I was looking at our local MLS agents roster for the New Year and I see that this agents status has gone in-active. In checking history, sales have been very very difficult for this person over the last year or two.
I think that we get a lot of bloggers who are looking for that “magic bullet” to get their business moving.
It seems that if blogging is all you have in your marketing arsenal, you are in for a tough road….
What do you think?
