The Shenandoah National Park
In 1926, U.S. Congress authorized Shenandoah National Park.
Today 197,000 acres of eastern forest are a sanctuary for more than 100 varieties of trees, 200 bird species, and 1,100 flowering plants.
Shenandoah National Park is a beautiful section of the Blue Ridge Mountains, between Pennsylvania and Georgia. Skyline Drive is a 105-mile road that winds along the crest of the blue ridge mountains with vistas at every turn.
Many animals including black bears, deer and even wild turkeys can be seen along the route.
I was recently showing Charlottesville Real Estate to clients who were going on a biking trip to the Shenandoah National Park. They told me that “This will be one of the most exciting bike rides they have ever taken”.
