Located on the North Grounds at The University of Virginia – UVA is the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center. This is adjoining the University of Virginia School of Law.
This legal center is authorized by Congress to award a Master of Laws degree.
The UVA Jag School refers to the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, which is located in Charlottesville, Virginia and is part of the University of Virginia. The Jag School is responsible for training lawyers and legal professionals who serve in the United States military as Judge Advocates, or JAGs.
The Jag School offers a variety of programs and courses, including basic and advanced training courses for Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard personnel. The school also offers a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Military Law and Operational Law, which is open to both military and civilian lawyers. Additionally, the school offers Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses for military lawyers who need to maintain their professional credentials.
